First 5 Mono County is hiring for two open positions: a Peapod Playgroup Leader to establish, develop, facilitate, and implement parent/child playgroups in Bridgeport, CA and a Program Specialist to provide direction and coordination for the CARES program.

Peapod Leader
Peapod Playgroups offer children aged 0-6 and their parents groups led by experienced leaders who provide parenting support, referrals, and education. Peapod Leaders should have experience in early childhood development and group facilitation skills involving parents and young children. We currently have a position open as a Leader for the Bridgeport Peapod group.

Program Specialist
The acronym CARES stands for “Comprehensive Approaches to Raising Educational Standards.” The goal of the CARES Plus Program for early care and education professionals is to increase the quality of child care throughout Mono and Alpine Counties by building a skilled and stable child care workforce. The CARES program works directly with licensed family child care providers and center based providers, who provide much of the available child care in Mono and Alpine Counties.
