First 5 Mono County is hiring Peapod Playgroup Leaders to establish, develop, facilitate, and implement parent/child playgroups.

Peapod Playgroups offer children aged 0-6 and their parents groups led by experienced leaders who provide parenting support, referrals, and education. Peapod Leaders should have experience in early childhood development and group facilitation skills involving parents and young children. We currently have two positions open for leaders in both Lee Vining/June Lake and Benton.

The remainder of this Crowley Peapod Session is cancelled. The group is planned to resume in early May.

Due to the need for a second leader for the large group currently meeting in Crowley Lake, we regret to inform you that the final meeting dates of this session are cancelled. We are currently looking for another leader, and hope to find one soon. If you have any questions, please call First 5 Mono at 760-924-7626.

The Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP) is in the 2nd phase of testing a new tool to measure parents’ perceptions of their strengths, and needs parents to take the revised version of the survey. In this second phase of testing, the focus is on recruiting parents who are served by or participate in various programs and did not take the survey during the 1st phase.

The attached flyer explains the survey, and includes the link provided below to the on-line survey.

It takes less than 15 minutes to complete – with an average time of 7 minutes.
