We are sorry to say that our Breastfeeding Support Group that was held weekly in Fridays in the Chapel room at Mammoth Hospital is cancelled due to lack of participation. If you need breastfeeding support, please feel free to call Debbie, one of our Home Visitors, who can schedule support either in person or on the phone. Her number is: 760-914-1431.

The Mono County Oral Health Taskforce, Mammoth Unified School District, and UCLA School of Dentistry, are offering a FREE dental screening and sealant treatment program at your child’s school during school hours. Miles of Smiles will also educate children about preventing tooth decay.

March 21: all day at Mammoth Middle School

March 22: morning at Mammoth Middle School, afternoon at Mammoth Elementary School

March 23: all day at Mammoth Elementary School

March 24: all day at Mammoth Elementary School

Please attend Eastern Sierra Unified School District’s Kindergarten Round Up event at Antelope Elementary (Coleville), Bridgeport, Lee Vining, or Edna Beaman (Benton) Elementary Schools.

If your child will turn five on or before September 1, 2016, then he/she can attend Kindergarten in the fall of 2016. If your child will turn five between September 2 and December 2, 2016, then he/she can attend Transitional Kindergarten in the fall of 2016.

Parents, if you have a child turning five by the above dates and you live in the Antelope, Bridgeport, Lee Vining, or Edna Beaman School District, please bring your child to your elementary school to learn how to enroll in Kindergarten, meet the Kindergarten teacher, and find out about the free Summer Bridge Program! Please bring your child’s birth certificate and immunization record, if you have them. Also, pick up your FREE Kindergarten Survival Kit!

Stick around for the Birth–to-5 Health and Safety Fairs that will take place after Kindergarten Round Up at each location. The Health and Safety Fair includes free immunization information, nutrition information, FREE oral health checks (required for kindergarten orientation), fluoride varnish, hearing checks, car seat checks, child ID fingerprinting, free bike helmets, and Peapod playgroup equipment just for fun.

**Mammoth Lakes Birth-to-5 Health & Safety Fair will be held in May**

Por favor asista al evento “Kindergarten Round Up” del Distrito Escolar Unificado del Sierra Este en Las Escuelas Primarias de Antelope (Coleville), Bridgeport, Lee Vining, o Edna Beaman (Benton).

Si su hijo va a cumplir cinco años en o antes del 1 de septiembre, 2016, entonces pueden asistir a Kindergarten en el otoño de 2016. Si va a cumplir cinco años entre el 2 de septiembre y el 1 de diciembre, 2016, entonces pueden asistir a Kindergarten Transicional en el otoño de 2016.

Padres, si usted tiene un niño que cumpla cinco años en las fechas anteriores y vive en el Distrito Escolar de Antelope, Bridgeport, Lee Vining, o Edna Beaman, por favor traiga a su niño a la escuela primaria a aprender cómo inscribirse en Kindergarten, conocer a la maestra de Kindergarten y obtener información sobre el programa gratis de “Summer Bridge”!
