That’s why in 1998 voters passed Proposition 10, adding a 50-cent tax to each pack of cigarettes sold to create First 5 California, also known as the California Children and Families Commission. Commission Meetings
The First 5 Mono County Commission holds regular meetings on the second Wednesday of September, January, March, and June for the 2023-24 fiscal year. All members of the public are welcome to attend and provide public comments. Meetings are held in the Mono County Office of Education Conference Room located at 451 Sierra Park Road, Mammoth Lakes, or as included on the agenda and as law allows.
